Our History
We run the gemstone business already in the third generation. The father of today’s managing director was an emerald cutter and dealer. Already in 1940 he founded his company in Jaipur, India.
In 1989, the company moved to Idar-Oberstein. This was the starting signal for today’s Indo-Gems Handels GmbH.
Schon früh spezialisierte sich das Unternehmen auf den Großhandel von Edelsteinketten und konnte so zu einem der führenden Edelsteinketten-Großhändlern Europas werden.
In 1994, the range of goods and the in-house personnel structure were expanded once again. Thereby new market shares could be developed, which contributed to a steady growth of the company. The constant attendance of various national, as well as international fairs, provided fast for the today’s Bekanntheitsgrad.
